Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.

James 3:5

New King James Version (NKJV)

Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.

See how great a forest a little fire kindles!

Our tongue is a weapon, watch what you say to others, watch how you speak, show love and comfort. Do not condemn because there is no condemnation in Christ.

God is amazing, we are out here to point others to Him, not to judge someone else on what they do..not to change someone to be like you and what you like to do, or read or write..God does the changing, He changes others, we don’t..Love BettyB.

First I want to say, we cannot change anyone, God does the changing..Some people are set in certain ways. Others want to be like someone else. And some just want to change someone to be like them..God made us as individuals. We are not made a like. One may like something, another may like something a little different..or not like it at all..check out the verse’s below..We can really hurt others with our tongues. Sometimes we don’t think we have, and some won’t speak up, but as we see, the pain starts with what come out of the mouth with words that destroy.

‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.

Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”

Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated?

But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.

  6. Matthew 15:11 certainly explains so many ill tempered people who speak before thinking. God bless.
