Meditation/Betty’s Verse Of  The Day/11-9-13

Luke 6:27

[ Love for Enemies ] “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

We all have enemies for some reason or another. But, Jesus said to love our enemies and pray for them. Why does He say that?  Because in; Romans 12:19-21 His word says, ¹⁹ Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”^[a] says the Lord. ²⁰ On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him;     If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”^{[b] 21} Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.  Jesus wants us to love, to love like He loves us, to love others no matter the enemy but to pray over the enemy, our enemies. Jesus prayed for all and for all to come to repentance, when the time is right just like in Romans, He says it is mine to avenge He will repay. Love BettyB…So Let’s Pray:

Precious Lord Jesus, please hear our prayers this morning. Lord, today teach us how to pray for our enemies, help us to love them, and to know that all things work to the good of those who love you, and your name is higher than anything else, your love is everlasting Lord, we adore you, we want to be like you..Guide us into the light your love Jesus, help us to pray in Spirit and in Truth. Protect our leaders and Israel and give them peace and wisdom, to know that everything is in your hands..we love you Lord, In Jesus name..Amen.
