Meditation/Betty’s Verse Of The Day/7-1-14

 

WHEN THE DISCIPLES SAW HIM WALKING ON THE SEA
THEY WERE TROUBLED, SAYING, IT IS A GHOST! AND
THEY CRIED OUT FOR FEAR. BUT IMMEDIATELY JESUS
SPOKE TO THEM, SAYING, BE OF GOOD CHEER! IT IS I;
DO NOT BE AFRAID. SO HE SAID, COME. AND WHEN
PETER HAD CAME DOWN OUT OF THE BOAT HE WALKED
ON THE WATER TO GO TO JESUS. BUT HE SAW THAT
THE WIND WAS BOISTEROUS, HE WAS AFRAID; AND
BEGINNING TO SINK HE CRIED OUT SAYING “LORD SAVE
ME.”

Haven’t we all tried to get out of the boat also? Then we realize nobody is holding us up..Well, we don’t have to fear no more, Jesus will hold us up..Peter did trust Jesus, but he started looking around him and not directly in Jesus’ eyes..He let go and sank..Sometimes we will sink, but Jesus is there to hold us up, so step out of the boat and take the step of faith, Jesus will be with you and he will hold you up..Love BettyB..Let’s Pray…

 

Precious Lord Jesus, please hear our prayers this morning..Lord, today we step out of the boat in faith ..we ask for your help today to do what we would never have the faith to do before, we are lifting up our hands to you and we are trusting you, we love you Lord and we thank you for all you have done in our lives..In Jesus Name, Amen..
