Meditation/Betty’s Verse Of The Day/9-19-14
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. — Ephesians 4:29
How is your talk? Do you use bad language? My kids use to ask me why are bad words bad? Even my oldest child asked me this question, why are some words considered unwholesome? I always answered if it does not praise God, glorify God or if it doesn’t lift others up it’s unwholesome. This was the answer I gave them, and I believe it..Speak words that build others up and always bring glory to God with praise worthy conversations..Love Betty B…Let’s pray..
Precious Lord Jesus, please hear us this morning. Lord, today help us to use words that lift each other up, guide us in all we do, help us to use our words wisely and help our words be a blessing to you..In Jesus Name, Amen.

I so agree with your statement that we must have a relationship with Jesus in order to find the Father, (John 14:6).
I also agree that some religious doctrine has perverted the gospel of Christ. But I must say that this isn’t true of all religious bodies.
Those who abide by the teachings of the bible, and add nothing more, are more likely to help us to get closer to the Lord. When we love the Lord, we love His children, and we want to be together and build each other up faith!
Fellowship and unity of the saints is a desire of God. When it is done in “spirit and truth” we fulfill the full commands of our precious Father.
